Yes, we are licensed and fully insured. We are registered WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board) and we have never had a claim on our half. Safety is a top priority of Dougherty Stone Masonry and we comply with all Ontario Building Codes

Yes, veneer can be used outside. It is a thin stone that is usually applied to a surface that has been parged. It is must commonly used around fireplaces and as accents in kitchen back splashes but it also very acceptable to have on the exterior of your home.

With any job that involves repoint or tuck pointing the old mortar joints need to be first cleaned. This entails removing all the old lime mortar and lose debris, then a thorough wash. The joint are then filled with new mortar and finished to match the existing look. For colour matching, we use colour additives in the mortar to create a mix that best matches the existing work.
No, we have completed Working At Heights (WAH) training and work with our own scaffolding. We also have access to zoom booms and automated lift scaffolds for the hard to reach areas. When working on a project, all equipment is secured and all workers are properly tied off.
Yes, we provide free estimates. For restoration and repair jobs, visit the job site to conduct an onsite evaluation. For new construction, we provide estimates off of project plans. **Please note that our response timeline is currently at a 2 week minimum due to the volume of ongoing projects, the increased demand for new projects, as well as delays in the construction supply chain resulting from COVID-19.
